Good Evening Friends!
So
2015 is finally here, was last year really quick or is it just me? It was a
great year for me. I explored and did new stuff, achieved lots of things and am
so content and happy. Friends I hope you too feel the same way. Even if you
don’t, let us still say, bye 2014 you were an awesome year; and hello 2015
because you are going to be equally rocking.
Now,
if you feel you could have done something more to make 2014 count, why not do
it in 2015? Friends, Maximizing productivity is a goal often discussed but
rarely reached. As a result, while entrepreneurs actively strive to make the
most of their time--reading books, exploring productivity hacks, testing
project management tools--too often they feel like they've fallen short.
Meanwhile, the to-do list gets longer. Don’t worry because New Year is a great
time to start afresh.
So
here I am sharing with you guys 10 simple things that will increase your
productivity in 2015.
Here we go….
1. Do
at least one thing each day, which your future self will thank you for. This is
the basis of all meaningful progress.
2. Fail
more often in 2015 than you did in 2014. Why? Because if you’re not failing
often enough, you’re sticking to things you already know and no longer growing.
Unless you give yourself permission to make mistakes, you will seldom try
anything new.
3. Stop
aiming for perfectionism. It will stop you getting started and block your
progress. Instead of trying to be perfect, aim to be better than you were
yesterday.
4. Get
expert help in any area of your business, where you are under performing.
Things don’t just change for the better because you hope they will. Hope is
essential, but it’s not a business strategy. This will
help you get it right.
5. Walk
daily for 30 minutes. Studies have shown that walking helps to reduce stress
and gives you a general feeling of well-being. Walking also helps you manage
your weight and can lower your blood pressure. When you feel better you work
better. Start with short walks, then do a little more. Talk to your doctor
first, if you have any underlying medical conditions.
6. Get
serious about developing your creativity in 2015. It will help you solve
problems and grow a uniquely valuable business.
7. Stop
doing work purely because it pays the bills. Start doing work that makes a
difference.
8. Give
people more than they expect. Don’t under-promise though. Instead,
over-deliver. This is one of the most powerful ways to retain your clients and
get them recommending you to their friends and contacts.
10. The Tao Te Ching
says that "High winds do not last all morning/ Heavy rain does
not last all day." This means that if you want to work
intensively and productively, it's vital to unplug and take time to recharge
every day, even if it's only for a little bit. Start by giving yourself 15
minutes with no Internet or cell phone--whatever it is, it can wait for you to
come back relaxed and ready.
I
hope you find some of them valuable. If you do, perhaps give it a share out
there on Facebook or Twitter?
One
more thing, there is a famous dialogue from the movie Yeh Jawaani Hai
Deewani that goes like this- Life meinjitni bhi bhaag daud
karlo kuch na kuch to choot hi jata hai. Is liye, kisi ke peeche
bhagne se achcha hai, hum jaha hai wahi, usi pal ki khoobsoorati ko jee le.
So
embrace and enjoy the things you have achieved, and there is always a next time
for those you want to accomplish. Enjoy the New Year’s Eve and welcome 2015
with open arms. Loads of love and see you next year….
Your Friend,
BSR.
