AND THANK GOD FOR THAT!

Mark Zuckerberg became the world's youngest billionaire in 2008 when he was just 23 years-old. He along with his bunch of friends founded Facebook.

Bill Gates was 20 years old when he started Microsoft.

The most popular blog software available was created by Matt Mullenweg --WordPress. He is 25 years old, and WordPress is worth $40 million.

Sameer Gehlaut and Rajiv Rattan of Indiabulls were 26 when they started Indiabulls which, according to Forbes, became a multi-million dollar company in the next 7-8 years.

Binny and Sachin, the owners of Flipkart, were both around 26 years old in 2007 when they launched Flipkart. In less than 6 years they are taking home remuneration of over 10.25 crore.

Sabeer Bhatia of Hotmail was 30 year old when he sold Hotmail to Microsoft for around $400 million dollars.

The list is a long, very long one and I can go on and on. But what’s the point I am hitting at?

It’s this – All these guys have broken the proverbial ‘ladder’ to success. They did not take the steps in the chronological order. They instead started at say – step number 9, where they had an idea which had no head or tail.

Then jumped to step number 26, where without much money, educational degree or experience they started working on their ideas, and from there, step 100, where they have actually materialised their weird ideas into reality for the world to see and gawk at. They showed us that success has nothing to do with age or experience. Ideas have nothing to do with University degrees. Failure is not permanent. Perseverance can never be obsolete. Passion, and not money that drives the difference. And courage is not an option but a must to stand out in a crowd.

All these guys showed that there is no set path to be followed to success. That a set-back doesn’t mean failure until you give up. They redefined success. They held the torch and showed the way – That there is probably no way, but the one you pave for yourself. They made us realise that there is not just one, but several ways to reach your desired destination. They also tell us that our life’s destination can be something that our heart desire and not just a means to earn our living. They make us believe that we don’t need to be 70 years old to see money or reap the benefits of hard work. That everything can be achieved in the ‘now’ time and there is really nothing to be scared of it. This energetic bunch have showed it to us that it’s ok to sometimes break some rules, make a difference and have fun …

And thank God for that!!
